For nearly 100 years, Hendrick Health has provided comprehensive healthcare services to the Texas Midwest.  In 2020, the not-for-profit institution expanded to three campuses – Hendrick Medical Center and Hendrick Medical Center South in Abilene, and Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood in Brownwood, Texas.

Hendrick Health provides healthcare services across the continuum of care and offers innovative treatments and preventive healthcare measures in a number of areas, including cardiovascular care, neurology and neurosurgery, neonatal and pediatric intensive care, women’s health, and cancer care.  Recognized on several fronts for its service excellence and as an exceptional workplace, Hendrick Health continues to fulfill its mission to deliver high quality healthcare, emphasizing excellence and compassion consistent with the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.

Hendrick Health not only provides world-class healthcare, but is also a committed leader in the community, giving back through support and sponsorship of worthy causes.  Hendrick Health offers opportunities for various agencies and organizations to request funding for causes that are consistent with the Hendrick Community Initiatives organizational mission.  Other unique community offerings include Hendrick Hospice Care’s Camp Courage for children and teens who have experienced the death of a loved one.  Combining the benefits of recreational and therapeutic activities, this five-day camp provides children the opportunity to safely explore and express their grief.  In addition, staff and employees help raise funds and volunteer time to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, The United Way, Meals on Wheels, and many other organizations.

Acting as a resource in a number of diverse areas, Advis is pleased to have a successful relationship with Hendrick Health going back to 2018.  In the leadup to, and following the addition of Hendrick Medical Center South and Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood, the Advis team worked with Hendrick Health to identify regulatory impacts associated with their acquisitions, prepared a master plan to guide the change of ownership/integration process, and served as a regulatory liaison to communicate with regulatory authorities regarding the same.  The Hendrick Health team executed on the acquisitions and is working to better coordinate services, increase efficiencies, and optimize patient care to the benefit of its community and region.

Advis has also assisted Hendrick with post-acute strategies, provider-based development, 340B optimization and compliance, other state-mandated regulatory reporting, and, most recently, navigating the funding complexities of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Working with numerous individuals at all levels of Hendrick Health, from staff through leadership, Advis can attest to what patients in the Texas Midwest already know – the people at Hendrick Health make it a trusted steward of community healthcare and a wonderful partner committed to ensuring high quality healthcare throughout the region for the next 100 years.
